Putting Your Foot Down With A Firm Hand!

Putting Your Foot Down With A Firm Hand!
By Nick Ashton, Founder, CEO, Tracometry Group of Companies.

I just saw a Wanted Poster for Discipline.  Where have the ground rules for life gone?  Today’s parents, if there is such a thing, do nothing but sit back, threaten that they will do something regarding their children’s misbehaving and go on about their own disastrous slide to failure.

WTF!  Where’s The Family?

What happened to respect for parents and elders?  I was born in an era of saying “yes sir” and “no sir”, doing chores and knowing right from wrong.

Sure, I played on the streets with other children and had to be home at a certain time.  You dare not be late or past that time, as you knew that what your parents told you was the truth and you dare not break the rules.  The wrath of a parent meant something!

I am the eldest of a family of eventually eight.  I had five years of being the only child and then, one by one they dropped in and we became the typical British dysfunctional family.  I was born on the tail end of the 1940’s, 1949, I had a Ration Book from the War years and it was not the happiest of times, austerity was still in place and a sick King George VI is on the throne.

My mother was a young seventeen year old, married to a much older man, her parents, my grandparents, were well to do people, my grandfather was a banker with the Royal Bank of Scotland and my grandmother, a stay at home person.  Not sure what she did, but I loved her company and she was a great influence in my life.

If I stepped out of line, it was my mother who dished out the punishment.  I mean a hard authoritarian women, who today, under our so called child abuse laws, would be in prison.  She did not use her hand or belt to my backside to instill discipline, it was the Joan Crawford’s style of the wooden coat hanger or later, the cricket bat.

Did I deserve such treatment?  Yes, I was a tear-away for a while and the sense was knocked in to me.  Am I any worse the wear for those whacks on my arse?  No, it taught me the strength and pain of doing wrong and being brought back into line.

My mother never threatened me with death or bodily harm, although I never did understand the catch phrase of “this will hurt me, more than it hurts you.”

There are some that state, because it’s the child’s bottom that gets stung, it appears at first glance that the child is the one who gets hurt. Clearly, an adult hand can tolerate more violence than a child’s tender backside can. Yes, children who are spanked regularly can hurt as much on the inside as they do on the outside. True, some of the psychological scars inflicted by hitting children can take years to heal. There is no doubt that spanking children hurts them in many ways. And yet the supposition remains: maybe spanking a child does hurt the parent as much or more than it does the child.

I disagree and think as long as you follow up with your statement of discipline  then do so.  I loath hearing the phrase in the supermarket of a parent threatening a misbehaving child, “if you do that one more time I whip your arse.”  They never do and the child knows that and continues to stretch the relationship.  No wonder parents want the kids out of the house, so they can pop more over the counter self-medication or have Coors assist them in calming themselves down.

The reason we are seeing so many children on the streets, in shopping malls and members of gangs is simple, failure of parenting.  They lack love and affection and turn to misguided opportunities.

The single parent syndrome is no excuse, discipline comes from a parent, male or female.  Ground rules that are adhered to. Society is as much to blame as the parent.

We have wrapped our children in laws to protect them, which are doing more harm than good.  As kid, I played outside in the dirt and ate my fair share of worms and bugs, didn't do me any harm, in fact doctors state that it builds up the immune system.  That is what is lacking today, real life, understanding the streets.  There is so much hatred out there and children killing children that it is growing at such an exponential rate our society will have a hole in statistics of missing males.

It is a societal issue and one of intelligence, education and color.  Do not let me grace this blog with the facts that many do not want to hear.

Ignorance knows no color, but the morgues of America do!

WTF!  Where’s The Family?

This Is A Weekend Of Discontent...

This Weekend Will prove That
We are Not Listening To The Streets!
By Nick Ashton, Founder, CEO, Tracometry Group of Companies.

More violence is upon us and the silence between the eruptions within Nations is deafening!  Countries are made up of people and people have rights.  The right to expression is not the same the world over, but since social mediums have expanded, more are understanding they can make change in their own oppressed society.

The BBC reports:

The US has warned Americans not to travel to Egypt and has told non-emergency diplomatic staff to leave, as clashes continued in the country.

The state department also urged US nationals in Egypt "to remain alert".

The warning came as at least three people - including a US citizen - died in clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mohammed Morsi.

Tensions have been rising ahead of a mass rally planned by the opposition on Sunday to demand Mr Morsi steps down.

His supporters are stressing what they see as Mr Morsi's "legitimacy", rejecting the opposition's demand.

Sunday is the first anniversary of the president's inauguration.

The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has urged Egyptians to respect "universal principles of peaceful dialogue", a call echoed by the US state department, which added that "political leaders have the responsibility of taking steps to ensure that groups do not resort to violence."

Brazil you are not listening!  Who is next?

Tracometry Group of Companies with its Tracometry People Solution, has perfected the art and science of understanding the streets, the Chatter of the Streets.  The word starts somewhere, just like the sun rises and sets each day, plans are created on the streets of the world.  Just because it is cloudy and you cannot see the sun rise or set, does not mean it did not happen.  Just like the words that formulate the plans of mice and men, it is happening and happening on the streets of your city, like all cities of the world.

Our team is our core, men and women who have perfected the art of conversation and the listening thereof.  It is but part of the process, just one of our important elements for success.  The discipline of true leadership and communication is at the center of our solutions.  Having people of varying backgrounds, education and social strata cohesively working hand in hand, knowing would is expected of all and not even flinching as the information is gathered, delivered and processed.  It is all in a day’s work and what they know, as professionals, is expected of them.

Our gathering of the Street Chatter is achieved in various ways and transmitted in real time to nerve centers or to the organizations who have purchased or services and solutions.  It is analyzed with our proprietary software, algorithms and computer models in real time and the reports are generated.  No, we spend very little time in the creation of reports, not like the old days of 75% of an analysts time was wasted in report generation, ours are created in minutes, if not seconds.

Tracometry People has been honed from over two decades of real time police work and successfully perfected.

It is only until now, with our Atmospheric Noise Collection Solution, Chatter on the Streets, that we have a precise edge on the creators of terror and crime.  The individuals who want to place harm on those that stand in their way.  Whether it is a simple planning of a burglary, murder or the sophisticated plans of the overthrow of a government, talk is talk. It starts somewhere…

This is why we are in the position we are in, the ability to capture the beat of the streets, collecting the noise and opinions in real time, not some clipboard carrying researcher asking questions and the answers received are voiced because the individual believes this is what you want to hear.

Tracometry People collect real information in real time.  It is not stored in some dusty data silo until someone thinks it might be of use.  All information is useful and must be addressed.  It is the narratives of people, which when combined paint our picture.

Tracometry People are the artistes and palette is the street, the canvas awaits our information brushes to paint the picture, frame it and hang it in the gallery for us to view, interpret and enjoy with our actions.

This information is now in the hands of the people who will make the decisions.  They have all the street level chatter and facts at hand and concisely act and stem potential issues.

That is it in a nutshell, Tracometry People deliver what has always been missing…

Why?  Read on, it states it below…

English... to read this is UP to You...

UP…
By Nick Ashton, Founder, CEO, Tracometry Group of Companies.

I ran across this is in an email from my brother and felt that this was something good for the weekend to smile about. Then again, it is UP to you...

You think English is easy?

I think a retired English teacher was bored or run out of adult beverages...

1) The bandage was wound around the wound.

2) The farm was used to produce produce.

3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.

4) We must polish the Polish furniture..

5) He could lead if he would get the lead out.

6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.

7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present.

8) A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum.

9) When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes.

10) I did not object to the object.

11) The insurance was invalid for the invalid.

12) There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.

13) They were too close to the door to close it.

14) The buck does funny things when the does are present.

15) A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line.

16) To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow.

17) The wind was too strong to wind the sail.

18) Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear.

19) I had to subject the subject to a series of tests.

20) How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?

Let's face it - English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant, nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England or French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth, beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices? Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? Sometimes I think all the English speakers should be committed to an asylum for the verbally insane. In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell?

How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites? You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out and in which, an alarm goes off by going on.

English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race, which, of course, is not a race at all. That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible.

PS. - Why doesn't 'Buick' rhyme with 'quick'?

You lovers of the English language might enjoy this.

There is a two-letter word that perhaps has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that is 'UP.'

It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?

At a meeting, why does a topic come UP?

Why do we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report?

We call UP our friends.

And we use it to brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver; we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen.

We lock UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car.

At other times the little word has real special meaning.

People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses.

To be dressed is one thing, but to be dressed UP is special.

A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP.

We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night.

We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP!

To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP, look the word UP in the dictionary.

In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes UP almost 1/4th of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions.

If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used.

It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP, you may wind UP with a hundred or more.

When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP.

When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP.

When it rains, it wets the earth and often messes things UP.

When it doesn't rain for awhile, things dry UP.

One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP, for now my time is UP, so.......it is time to shut UP!

Now it's UP to you...

The government thinks they are your parents,
treating you like a child gone wild in
a supermarket and never follows through…
By Nick Ashton, Founder, CEO, Tracometry Group of Companies.

We have all been shopping in the supermarket and hear the immortal words, “If You Do That One More Time, I Will Beat You and You Will Get No Candy”.  They never do, false threats, just like government officials.

US Secretary of State John Kerry has said it would be "disappointing" if Russia and China had helped US fugitive Edward Snowden evade US attempts to extradite him from Hong Kong.

Speaking during a visit to India, Mr. Kerry said there would inevitably be "consequences" to such a move.

Mr. Snowden flew out of Hong Kong to Moscow on Sunday.

He was thought to have flown to Cuba, but Ecuador's foreign minister has since implied he was still in Russia.

Speaking during a visit to Vietnam, Ricardo Patino said Equador had maintained "respectful and diplomatic contacts" with the Russian government so Moscow can "make the decision it feels is most convenient in accordance with its laws and politics and in accordance with the international laws and norms that could be applied to this case".

If someone is upset with something at work, whether it be private sector of government, they must be able to vent their concerns.  Bullying is so prevalent in business today and must be stopped!

In the case of Snowden, you was concerned about how the government was denying that they were snooping, but were and he felt he had to out the NSA.  It is just the way he has done it that concerns me.  Although, I believe if he had reported internally, we would never hear hide nor hair of him ever again.
The media is flowing anything that looks like a spook right now and reporting on nothing.  Let it play out and we shall see where the cards or thumb drives land…

In the world that Tracometry Group of Companies lives and works in, believe that it is the quality of the leadership and their communication skills that are vital and most agencies need retraining in this department.  It is then with the Street Smart Chatter that we collect in real time the information of the streets, that is the key.  It is then analytically processed and we provide the current information for action.

All together we have the elements for success.

How are you knowing what is going on with your competition or even among your employees?  Imagine a government not complying with the wishes of the people who elected them, where would that lead?

Ask Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Brazil, what were they missing?

Papal Message in a Security Bubble...

Papal Message In a Security Bubble
By Nick Ashton, Founder, CEO, Tracometry Group of Companies.

So I was surfing the web on the security of the Pope and I came across fine reporting, copied right out of the Brazilian Security Handbook of Papal Protection, (B.S.H.P.P.). I am now looking for a full page newspaper ads for every single move that the Pope and his unassuming group will make.

M & M, one of our deep rooted security guys, made the statement regarding the volume of police officers, 44,000, that they can all join hands and let the Pope walk along the streets to his hotel.  That is personal attention beyond extreme!

The papal visit presents a unique set of highly complicated security concerns never before seen in Brazil.  Is not the Pope a man, who represents the largest religion of Brazil, Catholicism?  I believe it was Time Rice of Jesus Christ Superstar fame, which stated lyrically, that he is just man. Referring to Christ of course.

It will be the Argentines' first international trip as Pope and the fact it’s to Brazil, the largest Catholic country, makes it an incredibly high profile journey. It's also a long time he'll be spending in Brazil - seven days in Rio from July 22-28, with a packed schedule to events - and coincides directly with the World Youth Day gathering in the city, expected to bring in upwards of 3 million Catholic youth to the city.

To place all the different agencies, including 44,000 police officers is insane!  The more people tripping over each other to provide the security of the Pope is asking for trouble.  I did hear they are also using doppelgangers.

You can Google that and I will wait….

Body double, got it?  So do not wear a white suit during that week, could cause some problems.

I am trying to invoke some levity in an extremely serious situation.  Firstly, CYROPOL would not publish its security plan in any way, shape or form.

Stealth is the key!  Our services are in the deepest cover and whether we are working with the Brazilians or not, listening never did anyone any harm.

It is imperative that the Brazilian authorities scrap the current plan!  Or maybe they have and this is all a ruse!

There is a far better way to protect the Pope and not draw the attention that is being created at this time.  Learn now, you cannot afford for any mistakes.  With the volume of personnel involved, exponentially, you are in trouble. Ask Jimmy Carter about security missions with overkill.

We are repeating the plan only to show the problem and plead that full changes are made or have they already?

The information below has been revealed in recent weeks from reporting in the Brazil media, coupled with conversations with top federal and state public security officials.

The Papal Plan of Protection

As soon as Pope Francis steps foot in Brazil, he will immediately be guarded 24 hours a day by a 60 member team of specially trained Federal Police agents with capabilities of "close quarters" protection of high profile subjects, and ability to "eliminate" any immediate threat. These agents will provide a "bubble of security" around the Pope at all times until he boards his plane to head back to Italy. An unknown number of those agents will be "within arm’s length" of Pope Francis at all times, including while he is giving mass, if they deem it necessary.

Federal officials have designated a Level 1 status – the highest security alert available – for the pope's visit.

Four military helicopters will be available to the Pope at all times to whisk him around the city. One of the choppers will be equipped with an "aerial hospital" should the need arise, the other three will always fly with the Pope but two will act as decoys, carrying the federal police agents and the Pope’s immediate, most important staff.

Ten other police and military helicopters will available in Rio providing backup security and reconnaissance, tracking the Pope’s movements and surrounding areas.

Somewhere between 8,500 and 12,000 military soldiers will be deployed to Rio as well. President Dilma Rousseff has declared Guaratiba – a suburb community 60km from Rio where the Pope is expected to give a mass to 3 million people - a "Guarantee of Law and Order" zone, allowing the military to temporarily partake in public security and policing activities within the zone. Other key World Youth Day events will also take place in the municipality.
Brazil’s specially-trained and well-equipped National Force security officers - based in Brasilia and under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice - will deploy somewhere between 1,200 and 1,600 officers to Rio to act as a "super police force" to guard areas where they are needed during pope movements.

The state of Rio will have 44,000 officers (both street police and investigative officers) available and working in rotating shifts. All vacation and non-essential training days have been cancelled during the week the Pope visits Rio. “Any and all personnel we have at our disposal will be working,” one local official said.

Rio's much-feared special force police unit, called BOPE, has been in recent weeks doing security operations in rough neighborhoods that are in or around where the Pope will be visiting.

And Brazil’s national intelligence service, ABIN, will have plain clothed agents in Rio, and a command center. They have already been in communications with neighboring country intelligence services about sharing of information of potential threats.

When it comes to Pope Francis' visit to Brazil, a simple man who shuns security and the treasures of the office of Pope, Brazil is a country giving off the impression they are leaving nothing to risk, and taking no chances.

In fact, there is no such thing as 100% security.

Ah, Brazil, the gateway to what?

Brazil, the key to South America’s rise or fall
By Nick Ashton, Founder, CEO, Tracometry Group of Companies.

It is not the sand between your toes on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro that is rubbing and making them raw.  Nor is it the statistical government information
on how Brazil has brought people out of poverty or the price of a football ticket.  It is not just any excuse to riot and kick the rear end of officials in Brasilia, Sao Paulo or any other city in this South American hot spot.  The unrest and failure are staring a continent in the face!  Ignoring it or attacking it with batons and Water cannons with not make it go away.

We have all over extended ourselves at one time or another, typically refused any assistance or help in a solution from someone that knows much more than we do.  Pigheadedness is a trait of the human race, especially men.  The Plans of mice and men, especially the mouse.  It is the cheese of the kudos at the end of the proverbial rainbow that we all chase, forgetting the steel bar of the mouse trap that will come crashing down on our necks, when we allow greed, corruption and blindness to get in the way.  Stop and ask any three blind mice and hear what the answer is.

Ah, Brazil, the gateway to what?

The nation of Brazil is up to its neck in societal mud!  The stinky type and are scrambling because their dreams and aspirations are in the hands of businessmen’s investments, where some of the profits are being salted away in politicians back pockets.

One click and Brazil is the primer for an explosion of rejection and failure!  Why?  Simply because they have taken too on too much without real expert advice and change agents that make the difference.

Economic factors are always at the forefront and corruption begets corruption.

When you have four major events that are in the spotlight of the world occurring in such a short time span and economically to achieve the expected results, you must gamble away your heritage, with odds that no bookmaker will take, something is radically wrong!

Your football team can show you every single mistake you are making.  They are right in front of your eyes and you are ignoring each kick of the ball, every piece of strategic piece of footwork and allowing the front office staff to play your game for you.  Businessmen with money to burn, not even their money, it is the future of Brazil and the whole of South America is at stake and you are allowing the water boys to call the shots!

Right now, the Confederations Cup is being played in Brazil and look what has happened in a few short nights.  Riots on the streets, not just in one city but cities across Brazil.

Next, you have the Pope paying a visit and thinking that throwing a large force of law enforcement as a circle around him, you will protect your religious investment.  I understand that Brazil will guard the Pope with 44,000 police officers, that sounds like a massive undertaking and it is.  You would think that this is the perfect protection.  It is not!  Mass protection has so many pitfalls, it is doomed from start to finish and the same bookmakers will not accept you wager for success.  It is difficult enough to have a jury of your peers to agree, let alone 44,000 police officers on a strategy of protection!

The World Cup is the next event that Brazil is hosting.  Named as 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil All in One Rhythm.  Sadly it might have rhythm, but it is out of tune on how security in this day and age must be accomplished.

The opening match is in Sao Paulo on June 12, 2013, just under one year away.  Yes, Brazil is concerned about the security and even FIFA has indicated they will seek assistance for the participating nations in regard to stabilizing the events.

Wrong!

If you are the host country it is your responsibility to control your own destiny.  All for just over one month of attention and a gamble that your plans will work and the investment was all worth it.

Now in 2016, the Summer Olympics and Paralympics opens.  The infrastructure developments for the preparation of the Games are huge. There will be more than 100,000 people directly involved in the organization of the Games, including 70,000 volunteers. Millions of people in the city, around the country and across the continent of South America will be reached and inspired by the Games.

More than 10,500 athletes from approximately 205 nations around the world are expected to come to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, to compete in front of many thousands of media professionals, sports fans and tourists from all over the globe.

I am not pouring salt on the wound of security planning, I am pouring out my professional heart to ask that Brazilian officials consider the use of experts with more security knowledge in their pinky finger to work hand in hand and create the success that the Brazilian people and all South America deserve.

I know, it is about money.  Yes, security is the stepchild of the gumshoe culture.  Cheap, gets you killed!  The gumshoe detective of the hotel, with his office under the stairwell and a nail on the wall holds the receipts of the previous month’s expenditures.  The picture does inspire confidence!

Are you not listening to the streets of Brazil?  They are crying out with messages of displeasure and all you want to do is send in the military style police and crush them.  They tried that in Syria, have you not been watching the news?

Time is not on your side, it is on the side of those that wish to disrupt and cause chaos and mayhem.

Let me explain how you can overcome all of these problems.

There is a worldwide company that is so clandestine, they themselves do not know they exist.  The team is so well matched and communicates in ways you never knew possible.  They get their information from the starting point of the streets.  Information gathering at its utmost best and believe you me, they know what to do with it in real time.  No data silos or file cabinets to hideaway the facts of the moment.  All processed, evaluated and actioned!

CYROPOL, is more than a fancy name that goes back to 239 BC.  It is a well-oiled social machine that pulses at every turn.  Team members are in their positions for a reason, they know their job and are focused on all aspects of delivering the desired and demanded results.

You cannot afford not to have CYROPOL lead your security blanket and bring leadership and communications to all.  This is not just a onetime event for Brazil, South America’s future lay at the feet of success or failure.  I know what I would choose and I know who I trust.

It is reality time and mark my words, your choices are slim and the clock is ticking.

CYROPOL and Brazil need the boots on the ground now!
