It Is Not Just All About Money...

It Is Not Just All About Money...
by Nick Ashton, Founder, Tracometry People

CEOs and the C-Level suite of large companies face a puzzle: they are challenged with a growing number of frugal consumers clamoring for affordable solutions, yet their existing corporate culture and incentive systems are designed to support a “bigger is better” business model — not to deliver more with less. As the Age of Austerity begins, however, corporate leaders will have no choice: they will have to bite the bullet and infuse their organizations with a frugal mindset. In sum, CEOs and the C-Level suite with the Board and the blessing of the shareholders need a frugal innovation agenda.

Frugal innovation is the ability to innovate cost-effectively and sustainably under severe resource constraints. We have spoken of “frugal engineering”, which is reinventing your entire company so it can innovate faster, better, and cheaper in a complex and resource-scarce global environment.

Visionary CEOs aren’t caving in to Wall Street’s demands for short-term gains. Rather, they are boldly restructuring every function in their organizations to boost their firms’ long-term ability to deliver affordable and sustainable solutions to increasingly cost-conscious and eco-aware consumers.

Frugal Innovation is not new and there are those of us that embraced the needs and developed the steps to do so.

Tracometry People suggest that CEOs eager to do more with less drive systemic changes across their entire organization — focusing their change management efforts on three functions: R&D, marketing, and sales.

CEOs who are bold enough to implement this frugal innovation agenda — as leaders at P&G, Renault-Nissan, Siemens, and Unilever are doing — will be able to deliver significantly more value to customers while saving on costs and reducing environmental impact. According to the World Economic Forum, corporations can save a whopping $2 trillion by 2030 by implementing frugal innovation strategies that do a better job of utilizing resources.

It is not only your own R & D, which would take time, investment and shareholder approval to ramped up, it is turning to out-sourced companies that have all embraced, developed, designed and tested the marketplace reactions that must be allowed to present their products and findings.

Listening and allowing these out-source companies to share their expertise under NDA agreements, will save you creative time, production costs and that visit to the Board and shareholders to secure the extra funds.

When companies like Tracometry & Infobricks install Beta Testing, they do not do it by half.  Our latest was in Germany with 9,000,000 subscribers.  That is knowing your product and A-List companies can share with us.  Joint ventures are an excellent means to a frugal innovative end.

You Cannot Afford To Ignore Frugal Innovation & Change Management…

Frugal Innovation in the enterprise, business “outside-in” thinking mode has become more important, as the fusion between social CRM (community-based customer relations) and design-oriented thinking is creating and instilling a new paradigm.  Innovations are easily incorporated into interaction patterns between businesses and customers.  The rise of Social Media/Web is also playing an important part.  Social computing, enterprise mobility and personalization provides customer insights from a multitude of touchpoints.  As the customer’s understanding deepens, enterprise organizations evolve to offer more personalized services.

Frugal Innovation & Change Management…
by Nick Ashton, Founder, Tracometry People

Global leadership in an industry is often linked to having demanding domestic market consumers. It is so partially because Japanese consumers are extremely demanding when it comes to electronics, German consumers for automobiles, Americans for fast food products, and French and Italian consumers for fashion, so much so, in fact, that one observes leading companies in these industries from the vantage point of their respective countries and the needs of their respective markets.

In recent years, companies looking to expand have shifted their focus to emerging markets. But if they are to succeed in these markets companies must understand that they will also have to effect another, highly important shift. They will have to change their approach to innovation.

For most companies in Western markets, innovation has meant the development of new products with more advanced features at premium prices. But in emerging markets, where their products must appeal to the millions who don’t have millions, companies will need to master the art of frugal innovation.
However, understanding frugal innovation and learning how to practice it are much easier said than done.

Affordability is the key

While planning innovations for bottom-of-the-pyramid customers, affordability becomes the key issue. Companies need to understand what customers feel is an affordable pricing structure.

The answer can often surprise companies because the price point could be just a small fraction of prices being charged today.

The challenge for companies is to use innovation to drive down the price to a level that economically disadvantaged consumers feel is affordable. This is what we mean by frugal innovation. Different approaches have been used to achieve this objective.

Tracometry People & Infobricks believe that the Cup of Coffee approach is the answer.  No, we are not selling coffee!  It is the pricing, everyone can afford a cup of coffee, say €3.00 or $5.00 for a good cup of beans.  Meaning that you are marketing to the masses with a frugal innovation that all can afford and has the ability to satisfy their thirst for available technology.

Perhaps the biggest hurdle in crafting frugal innovations is the highly inflexible value chain. Though several companies pride themselves and feel that they possess exemplary value chains, the chains pose a serious hurdle when it comes to creating offerings for economically disadvantaged consumers. In fact, the value chain needs to be tweaked at both ends – suppliers and vendors as well as distributors and channels.

The issues are virtually critical for companies hoping to penetrate emerging markets and serve the needs of the bottom-of-the-pyramid customers. The aspects of affordable pricing, addressing critical considerations of customers, and re-constitution of the value chain will decide the winners and losers in frugal innovation.

Especially when it comes to the Internet of Things (IoT).

Knowing that the savvy techno-geeks are a small percentage of computer users, we were lead to design and develop a portal, gateway, dashboard that anyone could use.  This is then their repository of everything they do or want to do on the Internet of Things, (IoT).  This becomes your corporate dashboard to all your services.  Healthcare, Media Services, Cable or Satellite providers, Internet (ISP), Security Services, Customer Service, Banking etc.

All with a single sign-on, military encrypted and all data in motion fully encrypted, end to end. The public are terrible at security, not just on their computers, Smart phones, Tablets, etc.  They leave doors unlocked, windows open, faucets dripping, lights on and television and radio blaring when they leave the home.

Everything is now under one roof, so to speak.  On all platforms, Apple, Linux, and Windows.  Even further, on all devices!

The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) concerns are gone!

We are the Poster Child of Frugal Innovation.

Through outside-in frugal innovation, A-Listed conglomerates now have the ability to expand without the inner worries of expenditure for their shareholders.

Tracometry People invite you to discuss how together we can open doors securely and deliver to your existing customers and potential new clients, technology to revolutionize your communications capabilities today!

It is all about simplistic secure access to all…

FRUGAL Innovation – Tracometry People

FRUGAL Innovation – Tracometry People
by Nick Ashton, Founder, Tracometry People

To increase the customer base, with frugal innovative technology, increased selection of services, additional revenue generating subscription applications/services and storage space.

All of this and the wealth of the company and its shareholders by Frugal Innovation.

What is Frugal Innovation?

Frugal innovation is the ability to “do more - and better - with less.” It is a breakthrough growth strategy that enables companies to develop high-quality products and create more business and social value while minimizing the use of vital resources such as energy, capital and time. Once the preserve of companies in developing markets, frugal innovation is now being adopted by global enterprises, large and small. It is not only a game-changing business strategy but also a new frame of mind – one that perceives resource constraints as an opportunity, not a liability.

With an estimated trillion-dollar global market for sustainable products and huge cost savings to be gained, frugal innovation is revolutionizing business across industries and reshaping management thinking worldwide. As such, frugal innovation is the key to success in a business landscape increasingly defined by mega-trends such as collaborative consumption, the circular economy, and the maker movement.

Tracometry People are a laboratory for frugal innovations and the knock-on effect this is having on business and society and the global community.
Innovation has raced in many parts of the world and especially the Indian Government’s agenda in recent years, and the Indian President has declared the next ten years the ‘Decade of Innovation.’

Input-output metrics are a useful way of benchmarking research excellence, they don’t capture all of what is important about innovation, and miss the distinctive models and approaches to innovation of very different systems.  Traditional metrics also miss what this research uncovers as a distinctive specialism of global system: frugal innovation. Combined with deepening scientific and technological capabilities, this could be an important source of competitive advantage for our clients, and is an overlooked opportunity for strategic collaboration in some cases.

Frugal innovation is distinctive in its means and its ends. Frugal innovation responds to limitations in resources, whether financial, material or institutional, and using a range of methods, turns these constraints into an advantage. Through minimizing the use of resources in development, production and delivery, or by leveraging them in new ways, frugal innovation results in dramatically lower–cost products and services.

Successful frugal innovations are not only low cost, but outperform the alternative, and can be made available at large scale. Often, but not always, frugal innovations have an explicitly social mission.

Contact us and find out how we have increased secure computer accessibility on all platforms and devices with military grade encrypted security, meaning that BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is not an issues anymore!

The Internet of Bovine Slurry, Yes, B.S.!

The Internet of Bovine Slurry
By Nick Ashton, CEO/CTO, CommSmart Global Group of Companies

Every single one of us is connected and has full responsibility for our actions. The Internet connects us all and there is no six degrees of separation!

Great statement, the truth is so sickening!

The End of Life is but the turning of a switch to the off position.  All actions are simplistic with most being final.

Man, Woman as well, have goals and aspirations to which we follow and only wish we could achieve.  It is the stumbling blocks that get i our way that cause the frustration, stress and failure.

The ultimate responsibility for all, is YOU, no one else, just YOU!

It is truly the collision of Good and Evil on all levels.  Pedophiles to Putin, Terrorists to Tort Reform, Government Gaffs to Gullibility, Presidential Morons to Sheeple.  I believe you get the picture and whiff the odor.

As I have previously stated last year:

When I heard the name Clapper, well, I think you might be going in the same direction as I am.  Clap on, clap off…  Where does government find these people?  If government understood hiring practices, leadership and real communications, we would not be this Bovine Slurry of a situation!

Firstly, government wally’s believe we are all ignorant, unintelligent, and sheep.  They think we will believe whatever they say and if challenged, it is us, who are the problem and are the radicals.  Baa, is not part of my language and I am not a follower of government memos or fashion.

If there was ever a Poster Child for Liars, Government hierarchy is on the front page!  Most people are not idiots!  Yes, I said most people.  Do not get me wrong, humans do have issues and there are pockets of morons everywhere.

Where is the TRUST?  It is certainly not within the present leadership, which is going downhill so fast, the ink is not drying on the page. It is uncanny to think that America and the world has come so far and still be so stupid!

Snitching, or as I like to look at it, telling the truth regarding concerns or highlighting problems, is part of human nature.  The trouble is, those that are the concern, label those that tell the truth, as busy bodies, snitchers with nothing better to do and should mind their own business.

It is OUR BUSINESS!

If we all stood by, there would be no USA, successful business, families, educated people and a level of common sense!  Is telling the truth regarding your concerns wrong?  No!  What is a concern, is how you go about it!

We must look at the ulterior motives.   If it is just to make a name for yourself, then it is wrong.  If it is that you are passionate and concerned for your fellow man and woman and this is the only way, then yes.

There is a place for the Whistle Blower.  People have to be treated with respect and not like cattle.  In the days of unionization, people where called Brothers and the Shop Steward stood up for the rights of the worker.  The agreement or rules between the union and the employer where set forth and no one crossed the line.  If they did, the error of their ways was highlighted and it was settled.  Where has all that gone?  The rule book is not be up-to-date and needs revising to reflect modern times.

Bullying does not just go on in the playgrounds and hallways of our declining education system.  It goes on in the workplace and the halls of political haranguing. Lobbying is a form of bullying, government changing the rules to their liking, is bullying, the IRS demanding that you tell all on matters which fall under the privacies acts, is bullying and the list goes on.

So, if someone calls out government for stepping over the line on all of us, is it wrong?  Was the action of the individual legal?  Could it have been achieved another way?  Questions that will be discussed around the water coolers of the world as we run out of water to drink.

The Forefathers of America did it their way, their concerns of how another nation, Britain was using America and not allowing them to govern themselves and forge their own destiny.  They revolted, they took charge and fought for their God given rights and won.

The question is simple, where do you stand?  Are going to be a sheep and led to slaughter?  Are you part of a herd of Lemmings committing suicide and jump off the cliff?  Will you stand tall and stand up for your God given rights and not be bullied by anyone?

Your answer is awaited…

Hacker's Successes Are More Dangerous Than ISIL or Any Other Terror Threat!

Hacker's Successes Are More Dangerous
Than ISIL or Any Other Terror Threat!
by Nick Ashton, CEO/CTO, CommSmart Global Group of Companies

This has been stated over and over again and cannot continue to be ignored!

The FBI stated this in 2012, the Hacker will replace the Terrorist as the Top Threat!  They already have, they are the #1 concern within the Internet of Things (IoT), but you would never know it if you talk to the so called top Chief Information Officers of multibillion dollar companies!

Why are they not shoring up their data, access to their valuables? Simple, they do not understand and suffer with the global disease of "I know it all and that is why I am paid the big bucks"!

Wrong!

One CTO of a major Fortune 500 company sent me a reply for a meeting request that we asked for with our global cyber team that is the US right now as follows:

There is no need for a meeting at this time.
Thank you for your interest.

That was it!  Just two lines, didn't even sign it!

The email request was sent to the total C-Suite of Executives of the company to introduce us and discuss the most major change in cyber security this side of 9/11.

Is it not a CTO's job to have all knowledge?  For us to brushed away with two short sentences is not going to stand with me!

This is the typical attitude of CTO's that C-Suites and Boards are suffering with. CTO's think they have their own little world and control all others by stating, "this is beyond your comprehension or you would never understand."

It is not!

We must as corporations take all steps to secure our internal data servers, then as a nation and the world will be far more prepared for these cyber attacks, which affects us all!

Europe is setting up a centralized Cyber Terrorism Center and next year, 2016, the Data Protection Act will be in force.  You fail to protect your data and clients, the fines are up to 4% of your profits.  Don't laugh or smile, the majority of you will fail the litmus right now, so start investing in securing your future and protect your Brand!

Ask Target what their failure was, then ask Michael's, PF Chang, Home Depot, JP Morgan, Ashley Madison, Health Insurance companies, the US government, this list can fill many pages with those we know about, let alone those that have hidden the facts.

Let us go further to another reply from C-Level V.P. within an Ohio University:

This was over the phone:

We will have to have our IT Director present because we do not speak the same language when it comes to computers.

What?

Hacking is the most serious threat to our economic existence and you do not understand?  Do you not comprehend that the information you store on your students in data servers is a goldmine to a hacker?

Securing information on computers and setting rules and regulations is the issue, that is why we have taken the human element out of the equation. Humans are failure in sticking to the rules.  They leave lights on, taps dripping, doors and windows wide open and wonder why there are security issues.

We do not speak gobbledygook, we speak English and explain with pictures if we have too!  Guess what, we have to in many cases, especially to our African clients.

They have opened their arms to our solutions.  Because?  They listen and have seen the rest of the world fall into the arrogance trap.

We have tested for two years in Germany a secure portal or dashboard that works across all platforms.  The idea goes far further back to 1996 and today is the culmination of this secure work and is available to simplify and is affordable to all.

A secure means to use the Internet, applications and to communicate via audio, video and documents under one roof.  Military encryption levels (4096-bit RSA).

Importantly, securely across all devices from the Smartphone to the Desktop. Without using conventional and useless passwords.  That's right, we use Device DNA, a 2 SSL authentication which can include biometrics.

This opens the door for secure Bring Your Own Device, (BYOD), yes the personal Smartphone or any other device can be used in the corporate environment securely.

CTO's and IT heads of departments are not Gods! They believe that by acting in this manner they are fulfilling their own job protection.  Self centered and not looking after the company. Sadly they are your Weakest Link!

We are not interested in being your friends, as you can tell.  We passionately believe in Cyber Security and want to protect you, the Brand, your assets and your clients.  This is not personal, it is solid business!

Take serious responsibility, after all you should have respect for your fellow employees and your clients.

Understand that C-Level Executives are employees too and serve the Board or owner.

Take a deep breath and do your job and protect us all!

There is No Six Degrees of Separation, we are all connected!

Our worldwide team is in Columbus, Ohio 'til Wednesday September 23rd, 2015

If you wish to meet we shall send you an NDA to sign and then be very happy to discuss Tomorrow's Security, Today.

Veteran's Will Power Is Alive & Well

Veteran's Will Power Is Alive & Well
by Nick Ashton CEO/CTO, Commsmart Global Group of Companies

Determination and brute force combined will get you most places.

Ignorance will NOT!

This past Sunday evening (Sept. 13th, 2015) a band of a growing citizens of the USA huddled around their computers, radios, Smart phones and listened to their fellow Americans tell an oh so true tale of being let down by their country that they served.

Veterans, their spouses and families have had it up to here, with Governmental Bovine Slurry that espouses from officials of the Veterans Administration, regarding the health and welfare of those that served their country and have and would lay down their lives for the security of the US Nation and its allies.

17,400 + people have joined in linked arms and pocket books to bring a message to the US Nation and the VA.

The VA is Lying
Veterans Are Dying.

Billboards have been purchased on a month to month basis being paid for out of their own nearly empty pockets to place the message of despair in front of fellow American's eyes.

Eight months ago it started and grew slowly, 2 weeks ago they had 8,000 members, today it is excess of 17,400.

This is not some group of "Redneck Nut Jobs", these are people like you an I, who are losing comrades daily, through mistreatment, no treatment and suicide.

They listened for two hours to their fellow Americans tell their plight, share their woes, while the rest of you sipped on a cold one and watched the "telly".

This is not Europe and a refugee issue, this is fellow Americans on your doorstep, your neighbors that laid down their lives for YOU!  Came home and were discarded like ragdolls.

Of course we have passion for the refugees who are fleeing war torn regions of the world.  The same regions these Veterans were sent to, defending these people.  They have given and given hard to the point of exclusion of what they were promised.  To be looked after medically by the VA.

Their willpower is strong, their mindset is clear, no matter what members of the media, congress or the US President says.

The want, NO, DEMAND what was promised and rightfully theirs!

Not second rate health care without dated drugs, dangerous concoctions that are prescribed that when mixed kill, confuse and cause death.

They want what is right!

On Tuesday night (Sept. 15th, 2015) they are doing it all over again and coming together on the radio and Internet, speaking out, shaming those that have tried to silence them.

Just like the resilience of the British in World War II, they huddled around communications and clung to each word of the same story that they know is fact and know first hand the dismal failure of those they once trusted.

One Step Ahead - Listen Tuesday Night 7 p.m. 'til 9 p.m. on the radio, Internet and you can call in, (646) 668-8952

Don't say the VA cannot be doing this to Veterans, they are.  Prove us wrong if you feel so strongly regarding this.  Do not brush it aside.

The VA is silent and would like to silence this campaign, they will not!

The VA Secretary, Bob McDonald is welcome any time to have a conversation, one CEO to another.  Sure, the issues are not simple when you have serious employee concerns within, that the government will not address.

No point in hiding, the true facts are out and will continue to be front and center.

Listen to the Heartland of America Crying Out for What is RIGHT!

The Veteran

Winston Churchill said it succinctly
"WE SHALL NEVER SURRENDER!
