Are Employee Thumbs A Risk In Your Business?

Why Social Media Tells Us So Much…
By Nick Ashton, CEO/CTO, CommSmart Global Group of Companies

It has been stated that HALF of all employees have admitted to writing about the company they work for on a social media website, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, a survey has revealed.

However, a staggering three quarters of those who have written about their company online, either did not know of, or had no guidance from their employers regarding what they could or couldn't write.  The damage of misinformation and an insight of the company is astounding.  Internal information can and will allow others to have such information for use in an illegal manner.  Yes, dubious characters having the inside track!

Your employees and even you are thumbing your way into trouble!

The survey was commissioned by British based company. By monitoring social media and websites, and reprimanding businesses delivering misleading or untruthful marketing messages, they are striving to provide more comprehensive protection for online consumers and the company themselves.

The major concern for companies, revealed by the survey, is that without Social Media guidelines, businesses are potentially leaving themselves wide open to the sharing of proprietary information, security factors and trade
secrets that are being thumbed by their employees’ online activity.

“As ambassadors of your brand, employees need to be made aware and given comprehensive guidance on how to conduct themselves in all situations to protect the overall reputation of the company,” said Nick Ashton, CEO/CTO CommSmart Global.

It is the information that is being “thumbed” by folks that allow very private information to be put into the atmosphere and captured and used by criminals.  Crime Analytics and Next Event Predictability is used by law enforcement to scan all social media for information regarding criminal activity, terrorism and business spying.

Foolishly, thank goodness, people talk too much and share their dirty deeds and some share what they feel is innocent information regarding their company that is a goldmine to a thief.

“As this research reveals, businesses need to be educated about the risks involved when undertaking any information on social media platforms. 84 per cent of people use social networking sites for personal reasons, which can lead to mixed messages and a blurring of the boundaries between work and play. We recommend developing a sound business driven strategy to help deliver clear, successful online communication campaigns,” stated Ashton.

The cleanup has begun, remember, law enforcement is watching too!

Let’s Hear it for Hillary!

Let’s Hear it for Hillary!

In conversation this morning with a very dear friend, we started to discuss the Election Scene and then Curtis Holmes said, it is a good job I have old files on the Hillary. Thank you Curtis, now folks can be reminded or open their eyes to the trollop, who thinks we have no memories and will elect her and her wandering man back in the People's House... You know, the one us Brits burnt to ground once...

When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn't even get a vote in a democratic controlled congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for studies, promotion, and other efforts.

Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno husband Bill described her selection as my worst mistake. Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.

Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovered of Ms. Guanier's radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.

Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department. Her selections went well: Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.

Many younger votes will have no knowledge of Travelgate. Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours.

Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House. Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.

Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the bimbo eruption and scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle was: She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones.

She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs.

Hillary's devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for lying under oath to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives.

Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, I do not recall, I have no recollection, and I don't know a total of 56 times while under oath.

After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen.

What a swell party ready for another four or eight year of this type low-life mess?

Now we are exposed to: the destruction of possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and the pay to play schemes of the Clinton Foundation we have no idea what shoe will fall next. But to her loyal fans what difference does it make?

Electing Hillary Clinton president would be like granting Satan absolution and giving him the keys to heaven!

She has escaped jail time so often, she thinks she is invincible.

The WE Factor... Where would you be if you had not had a team structure behind and around you?

by Nick Ashton, CEO/CTO, CommSmart Global Group of Companies

Where would you be if you had not had a team structure behind and around you?

It is NEVER ALL YOU!

It is not too late to start listening, having regard and putting into place the advice of others, your team!

“When we are at our lowest, we all become wild and crazy in our frantic decision making, all of us are on different levels and personal actions.

You have your 9 thru 5 business face and actions – then the after-hours façade kicks in. You and you alone only know your level of craziness.

There is always the P.T. Barnum in us all. To some, he never manifests, in others, he takes over!

It is those that create, generate and communicate in those common and logical terms, we are firm in our desire for success and listen to all, pluck what we feel is for us and then adapt and succeed.

It is the WE Factor!

"We create great sales teams…”

Psst... The Word on the Street...

Psst... The Word On The Street…
By Nick Ashton, Founder, CEO,
CommSmart Global Group of Companies.

I know, we all hate chores, but I have one for you.  Something that will blow your mind as you are relaxingly allowing the world to drift by.

As you sit in a café, restaurant or bar, listening to the chatter around you.  Do not make it obvious that you are eavesdropping or suddenly join in their conversation, just listen.  Hear what they are discussing and obtain a general pattern of the conversation, the key words, so to speak.

It will astound you what people are discussing and their real down to earth opinions on a myriad of subjects.  The concerns they have and how they going to change the world or deal with a family issue.  Be careful, I do not want to hear that someone got annoyed with you for listening in to their deepest secrets!

There is a theme of conversation on the weekends that very different from the middle of the week.  See if you can connect the dots and understand.

Those of us that have that lunch in the restaurant around the corner, grab a sandwich and sit out on a summer's day, discussing all sorts of subjects, including business, family and friends.  In fact, we have strong opinions on many a subject that should never be discussed in the open market of life.

Your sex life and business ventures are no one else's business, yet there are those that are listening to the Atmospherics of Chatter and honing in on one's of interest that have a monetary value.

Yes, professional eavesdroppers who listen, collect and sell to the highest bidder.

Business is business and your business has no place in someone else's hands or ears.  Information has a value and in today's anti-social atmosphere, prying human ears using today's technology have access to it all.

It was during WWII that the phrase, "Loose Lips, Sink Ships" was coined, it is relevant even more today.  Corporate secrets new designs, launch dates, out sourced manufacturers, costs, new hires, pricing and innovations yet to be brought to market are out in the Atmosphere, by plucked, shared and sold each and everyday!

Oh, the napkin you scribbled your notes on, do not leave it on the table or throw it in the bin as you leave, take it with you, even a crumpled napkin is worth a fortune.

Understand, the WORD ON THE STREET…

P.S.  Shut up and listen, keep your private world, private...
