ARE THERE SOME BOSSES THAT SHOULD NEVER BE IN THE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE?

ARE THERE SOME BOSSES THAT SHOULD
NEVER BE IN THE JOB in the first place?
By Nick Ashton, CEO, CommSmart US

We meet them every single day and shake our head, mutter under our breath and that internal voice asks the question. How the heck did they ever get this job in the first place?  No personal skills whatsoever to manage a team, let alone their own daily life!  What radical effect is it having on the company?

Some call it the Inexcusable Promotion, get them out of my face and let them be someone else’s problem.  This is not good for anyone, the company, staff and co-workers, but it goes on every single day and it has to stop!

Dominance of subordinates is not an act that creates harmony and is common in today’s workplace.  Those that are subjected to this action are singled out by the manager or boss, because, in their eyes, they are weak and will say nothing.  Just like a sexual abuser of children, they train these people to be part of their overall plan of increasing the personal kingdom and don’t care who them harm on their selfish journey.

This is prevalent in Public Safety Departments, such as, law enforcement, Fire/EMS and Emergency Management.

Managing by FEAR!

The same goes for Corporate America, bullying is going on as we speak and there are those that live in fear for their jobs and how they will feed their families, if they speak out.

Corporations must recognize the situation and deal with these cases that are a festering problem.  Owners and shareholders have an obligation to change the landscape and get back to what was a pleasure each and every day, going to work and doing your job.  Being rewarded for your skills and achievements, not being chastised and abused!

The Military, all divisions, is also guilty and we are seeing major cases of sexual abuse coming to light.  If a woman has been raped, she is basically called a liar and drummed out of the service.  Not going to happen anymore, it is time for the change and management to fess up to the problem and directly make amends.

Do not brush this off as just a means to market training and improvement seminars, it is not!  The message is clear and those that wish to kill the messenger, are as guilty as sin!

This goes way back to slave owners and the abuse of those slaves, (worst than overworked employees, so to speak).

Managing by fear is not part of DNA that our society will accept anymore.

I urge you to manage Like a Boss, make the difference NOW!
