Pleasures Up In Smoke! Commercial Community Proactive Communications! Informing, Warning & Very Direct!

Pleasures Up In Smoke!
Commercial Community Proactive Communications!
Informing, Warning & Very Direct!
By Nicholas Ashton, CEO/CIO, CommSmart Global Group

There is a belief that you do not want to rock the boat, tittle-tattle or snitch when you see or hear and in this case, smell a serious criminal problem.

Especially if you are the owners and managers of a well to do apartment complex. Those facts alone has not stopped this management team, directly going after the problem, basically nipping it in the bud.  No pun intended, but accepted!

Apartment living has grown exponentially since the downturn in the economy and living patterns changing.  The apartment business is booming and is a continuing revolving door of tenants moving in and moving out.

Background checks and vetting of potential tenants cannot be more pertinent than today.  Knowing who is behind the face is important when these people are now becoming ensconced within your community and you have legal responsibilities to the residents and neighborhood.  It is the old quote of letting the fox into the hen house, so to speak.

Yes, you have gathered, we talking about ‘Pot Smoking’ the gateway drug to death and social degradation. Within all leases, your apartment or castle, is not yours to do what you please with and attract inscrutable miscreants to the sanctity of society.  This includes smoking within and your exhaled remnants wafting through the shared corridors.

Here is the circulated letter to all of those residents:

The residential complex has completed it social, moral and legal obligation to not only its residents, the neighborhood, but also the police department.

Now you and I know that among the renters there will be some who slip through the cracks, this can be remedied by DIY Policing, which is a growing movement in Europe and being introduced by CommSmart Global Group in the United States.

It is about Responsibility, Trust, and Respect, not scoffing the law and disrespecting your neighbors.  Law enforcement bears the brunt of those that scoff the law and deal with them hourly and daily.

Understand, these police officers live in the communities and neighborhoods, in fact ‘The People Are The Police, And The Police Are The People’.  Just one of the Nine Peelian Principles, which will soon be ten with technology overtones.

CommSmart Global Group, a LexisNexis Risk Solutions Partner, is so different to any other interceding organization for data/information that we might seem aggressive in our approach to broadcasting the message.  Our straight talking conversation manner is extremely direct and yes, in your face.

Simple, our global experienced former law enforcement executive team has prepared it, digitally flavored it, passed it through our lower intestines, all successfully with known, achievable results.  We continue to learn ourselves so our coaching/mentoring capabilities are current with teachable moments.

If you do not believe there is a crime infested issue in the world, then you must be one of them and oblivious to the crime fighters who will catch, convict and incarcerate your sorry rear end.

It is a social and unsocial world of stories, bragging, lies, half-truths, and some in-between stuff, that is espoused each day.  Social media is key to instant information that must be ratified, checked and rechecked before it is believed.

CommSmart Global Group predominantly works side by side with global law enforcement agencies and has major corporations as clients who value our overall expertise in:
  • Crime/predictive analytics
  • Social media scrapping
  • Social media direct interactions
  • Community crime mapping
  • Cybercrime

Well done to this West Des Moines Apartment complex in showing the way it must be dealt with, continue the great community work!

Personal Hacking Got To Pick A Pocket or Two… (Personal Experience)

Personal hacking
Got To Pick A Pocket or Two…
By Nicholas Ashton, CEO/CIO, CommSmart Global Group

Pickpockets or your personal hackers at the Metro Station!

Be aware when you are in the Metro station or anywhere in the world with the mass of a transportation crowd, beware!

This became personal in St. Petersburg as AJ, my business partner, was bumped and his wallet stolen by two pickpockets in the Metro. They blocked him, bumped him and removed his wallet and left his Smart Phone behind.

He did not realize it had occurred until the doors of the Metro train had closed, then, in a calm conservative manner realized he had been picked!  Got off at the next station and returned to look for the culprits, who had long gone.

In asking a security person if a wallet had been found, she stated yes, and he had his wallet!  The Euros were gone, the credit cards had been shuffled, meaning taken out and checked, but all was intact!

This was a personal hacking of the pocket kind.

In AJ’s reaction, he retraced his steps and went back to the scene of the crime as we do when our computer servers, Laptops, Smart Mobile Phones or Tablets are compromised.  Maybe not as calmly as AJ, but we review, which all takes time.

Why did the pickpockets just take the cash?  Simple, ready money that is instantly spendable.  The cards were checked to see if they were just a magnetic stripe or a full SIM enhanced card, which they were and were left, as they were no use to them.  Europe, unlike America, has that double security and not just secured with a PIN!  Although a change has happened in the USA, but only half the security Europe and the rest of the world has.

Proving that passwords or pins are useless!  There is so much hacking software available to break the pin and password capabilities and available at these Hacking Conferences and of course, the Internet, even on Amazon.

There is no item in the world that is safe unless you take precautions.  AJ left his wallet in a normal and vulnerable place his pocket.  Since the days of old, pickpockets are still using basic deceptive means to steal.

Technology and the World Wide Web has taken personal theft to another level and it is always with a financial overtone.  Yes, your personal financial means, whether in cash or data information.

Believe it or not, if they had stolen AJ’s Smart Mobile Phone, it would have been useless to them.

AJ does not use a password for anything, he uses Red Tagged's Trusted Remedy, Device DNA!  Of course he does, that is the base solution of Red Tagged.
The enemy is everywhere and we must hide everything.  Allow no one to touch what is yours.

The fight is on and we believe at Red Tagged we have the frontline proactive proven patented, proprietary solutions to protect data in motion.  Absolute making your transaction invisible to all, even in Public and Hotel Wi-Fi Hotspots.  That simple and that successful.

The Change Is In…

The Change Is In…
By Nicholas Ashton, CEO/CIO, CommSmart Global Group

We are surrounded with information to the point that most of us, including government and corporate intelligence units, are on overload and bursting at the seams with data, they know not what to do with.

Many believe you can stockpile information until it is signaled that it is required to be sifted through and analyzed.  Data silos are useless and a complete waste of money, time and effort.  Information needs to be actively analyzed in real time and that is exactly what CommSmart Global Group, a LexisNexis Risk Solutions Partner does.

The reasons we commercialized Atmospheric Noise Collection & Gathering, was with military and law enforcement requirements, in knowing all the intelligence on the streets in the early days of growing communities and of course at times of war or conflict.

This is our Frontline capability to utilize the people in the know, within the communities, cities, and nations, who, report back their street level findings.

Seriously vetted individuals who care and report it all, the good the bad and the downright ugly.

It is about understanding society, a government cannot govern unless they know what the people are discussing, wanting and demanding.  If you go on your merry way and ignore the facts of the streets, you end up, with the people rising against you.  We know the Arab Spring was more than a surprise, it was a disastrous shock, which took all unawares and looks at the results, which are continuing to reverb around the world.

Collecting the Chatter on the Streets is only the second model that we install.  First, we must make sure that management understands their Leadership role and how they will Communicate this growing real-time information in a feasible and productive manner to be effective.

Now we can start to collect the information and analyze in real time.  It is not just the spoken word within conversations, it is the whole Social Media World, which is much more than Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and others.

The ability to use our Social Media Intelligence (SMI) solution, which scrapes through the unsocial thumbing world, which includes Social Connections, Blogs and Personal Websites, sifting among the common themes and threads, on a local and worldwide basis is key to information gathering that will enable the correct and meaningful decisions, acceptable by all. It is only then you can begin to understand the massive amount of information at your fingers, enabling the correct actions.

The CommSmart Global Group Analytics then kicks into gear.  The proprietary software developed for information collection and merged with law enforcement and intelligence-gathering expertise, has enabled us to design an easy and logical flow of collection, input and importantly, output.

This includes our Next Event Predictability solutions, enabling the use of resources in a profitable manner.  Predicting events, crime patterns, and outcomes has become our norm with our gathered and analyzed information.

Too many analysts complain over report creation overload, not in our case!  The hundreds of report capabilities are at your analyst’s fingertips and can even be customized even further.  Our ability to analyze the narrative of reports enables a further level of understanding and in many cases is the decisive application tool.  This flexibility is second to none and developed from within, we listen, observe and discuss with the ever changing street information and convert these facts to solutions.

It is our diverse team that has placed us fairly and squarely at the forefront of true real time street information collection to actionable reporting.  We are talking about automatic reporting with report formatting that takes far less time and delivers automatically into the hands of the management decision makers, which can now act with confidence on the information in their hands.  In fact, compared with all other analytic software, we are reverse in time spent in creating and delivering reports to those wanting to be in the know.  CommSmart Global Group Analytics only requires way under 15% of the analyst’s time for report generation or less.

Mentioning the team, it is comprised of personnel that brings decades of street level experience and worldwide connections.  Diverse in age, nationality, gender and experiences, which allows for our overall understanding of the world and local situations.  There is no them or us syndrome, it is an all approach that makes the difference.  We are all in, working cohesively by using all forms of communications, no matter where in the world we are located.  It is our 24/7/365 coverage that is our key to your success.

The training of street-level associates has been perfected and we pride that selection and vetting abilities have become an art form and a science.  We even market our leadership, communications, and recruitment processes.

We are very private in our work ethic and can be described as an evolution in information gathering, analyzing and dissemination.  So, for public safety crime statistics, social chatter, public opinions, and views, especially for election manifest creation and really knowing the pulse of the people, we have the key.

No government agency has our capabilities in seeking the facts in real time.  It is our down to earth approach with our listening ears, which is attached to today’s ever-changing technology with visionary intellect.

Simply, WE are in the NOW and KEEP YOU; IN the KNOW…

No matter where you are in the world, we have the reach and abilities to assist you.

Make that contact:

What's Your Problem?

What's Your Problem?
By Nicholas Ashton, CEO/CIO, CommSmart Global Group

Have you noticed how ‘pissed off’ people are?  Patience is a virtue has gone out the window!  All age groups have lost it!
Even Granma in the grocery store gets annoyed when her debit card will not work and the line is getting longer.  The cashier is trying to assist and getting louder each time she tells the aged customer to try her card again and again.

Most are now walking in the city streets or mall with their eyes and mind in their Smartphone as they text and fail to see who they keep bumping into.

You can’t go to a movie without some nut-job texting or talk in a phone call during the movie. The glow of the Smartphone screen distracting your attention from the movie, it is never ending on the diversions and disruptions that surround us hourly and daily.

Social Media is Not Social!  It is a total anti-social digression for what use to be the social norm.  Then again, what is normal anymore?

Fingers and thumbs have reached such higher levels and include the U.S. President-Elect, Donald J Trump.  It is 140 characters of power for good and evil, there seems to be nothing in-between.

Once we never left those hand-written love letters out in the open, they had their own secret place, hidden, maybe a love box placed in the corner of a closet away from prying and spying eyes.  Today there is no safe nook or cranny to hide anything, our privacy is gone and will never come back to a level we once relied on.

Angry, sadistic so-called humans use social media to conduct illicit business, bully folks and use in the most despicable ways.

Parents have no idea what their children’s fingers and thumbs are getting into or who they are harming with their vile digits.

Employers, again, are in the same position and are oblivious to the damage being dealt by individuals which harm the company by their foolish comments.

Don’t get me wrong, there is a good side as a superb communication tool if it is controlled and those that represent the company or the family understand the potential when the digits get it wrong!

Law enforcement, those that are employed to ‘protect & serve’ can use social media as an amazing two-way communication tool.  Having a Facebook presence which informs at all levels the actions within the community.  Then as a ‘call for action’, events, assistance and dire needed situations where the public help is required.

Twitter too, is an amazing digital communicator when in the right hands, we know this as we coach and mentor departments globally of this growing method of finger chat.

Then we have an even more positive means of knowing what is out there in the social media sphere.  The ability to monitor all that is being communicated via Smartphones, tablets, and computers.  Yes, the darker world of fingers and thumbs is not private but very public.

Compliant Social Media Monitoring with crime analytics is a proven successful crime fighting tool.  Why need, you ask? It is the new means of ‘bragging’, they tell us everything of their criminal plans, actions and successes.

Through social connections we know it all, there is nowhere to hide!

If you are not using these means, contact us or visit our website.
