Some children have to be told a dozen times until they understand the point that is being made.  Sadly, this trait follows them through life as they have never learned the lesson!

It is a different time and a very different day from when you were growing up and your mischievous youth, we hope, has been left behind.  The times your father took a belt to your rear end, trying to knock some sense into you.  The times you were sent to your room without having dinner, thinking how harsh your parents were.  Of course, there is worse that happened and only you would know.

Those words that were uttered, as if there was a global script distributed; “this is going to hurt me, more than it is going to hurt you.”  If that was the case, why do it in the first place?
