Tenacity, Trust, Trump (T3)

Tenacity, Trust, Trump
By Nicholas Ashton, CEO/CIO, CommSmart Global Group

It is simply, Tenacity, Trust, Trump (T3)

To have the testicular fortitude to even run for President of the United States of America and have no Washington political experience whatsoever is more than gutsy.  He is the anti-political candidacy was seen as a joke and could not be taken seriously.

It was a promised revolution and his victory will change America and You!

To even think you have a chance against the D.C. establishment was by many, the most arrogant move by a Reality Star and Real Estate Mogul.

Trump believed he could achieve it and built a team to achieve this.  It included newcomers, old friends and those that knew the system of political advancement.  The difference, Trump was still in charge and did it his way.

te·nac·i·ty - Tenacity
noun: the quality or fact of being able to grip something firmly; grip.
"the sheer tenacity of the limpet"
synonyms: persistence, determination, perseverance, doggedness, the strength of purpose, tirelessness, indefatigability, resolution, resoluteness, resolve, firmness, patience, purposefulness, staunchness, steadfastness, staying power, endurance, stamina, stubbornness, intransigence, obstinacy, obduracy, pertinacity
"she practices her gymnastics routine with the tenacity of a bulldog"
the quality or fact of being very determined; determination.
"you have to admire the tenacity of these two guys"
the quality or fact of continuing to exist; persistence.
"the tenacity of certain myths within the historical record"

Trump’s proven tenacity was now transferring from his business success and abilities to now convince those who wanted to invest in America’s future.  He sold the deal, which not all about Trump, it was about a nation that needed to clean house and realign the future.  He was the lightning rod and garnered all the attention the media could throw at him.

trust
noun
a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.
"relations have to be built on trust"
synonyms: confidence, belief, faith, certainty, assurance, conviction, credence; reliance
"good relationships are built on trust"
LAW
confidence placed in a person by making that person the nominal owner of property to be held or used for the benefit of one or more others.
verb
believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of.
"I should never have trusted her"
synonyms rely on, depend on, bank on, counts on, be sure of
"he can be trusted to carry out an impartial investigation"

It is about building Trust in ourselves, communities are broken, being unemployed and under educated only brings a sad cloud of despair to society.  Crime increases and law enforcement has to deal with the crimes, criminals and civic failure to even address or recognize the declining issues.

We believe that the core change was written 187 years ago by Sir Robert Peel, the then Home Secretary of Great Britain.  Peel invented polices forces as we know today.

He stated that the ‘Public are the Police and the Police are the Public’.

These nine principles stand firm and tall still today and are known as the Policeman’s Bible.

Although CommSmart Global Group has gone further with a Tenth Peelian Principle that ties it all together with technology and Digital Policing.

Trust, Respect & Honor are the key and rests with YOU.

If you are upset that your candidate was not elected and protest, then you did not believe in the voting system in the first place.  What do you want the best of three?

It is not going to happen.

Donald Trump is the President-Elect and to CHANGE this nation it is up to YOU to work hand in hand on this major change in the USA.

Trump is the key that has stated he will work for all Americans and in seventy days will take office.  The changes are already being discussed and certainly health care and public safety is at the top of the list.

Now work together and let this American Nation be Great Again!

Death is Guaranteed, Importantly, It is What is In-between that Makes the Difference

Death is Guaranteed, Importantly, It is What is
In-between that Makes the Difference
By Nicholas Ashton, CEO/CIO, CommSmart Global Group

We are a nation and world of laws with agencies that make sure we adhere to them and the protection of the public.  Sir Robert Peel whilst Home Secretary of Great Britain formed the first police force with a set of rules or principles for the public.  After all, as Peel stated:

“The Public are the Police and Police are the Public”.

The NinePeelian Principles Peel created were not for the police force, but for the public as that is where the force came from, the general population.

It is the same today and those 9 Peelian Principles stand firm, they are the Policeman’s Bible and we realize we must integrate technology in the form of Digital Policing which CommSmart Global Group have been utilizing since the global threat of terrorism.  Yes, a tenth Peelian Principle that encompasses all with the digital technology and foresight to aggressively protect us all.

We call it Atmospherics, collecting all the particles of information that float in sun and moonlight.  Capturing all, to be processed and not just stored in a silo for a rainy day.

CommSmart Global Group is a LexisNexis Risk Solutions Partner, which through its full professional services and qualifications, has created over the last two decades technology for improving policing by using old fashion police techniques and the productive growth capabilities of our digital expertise.

The world has changed and so must we!  We are asked by accounting to watch and cut costs, which if continued to be suggested, by those that have never worked within a community, enacted the laws and physically have blinkers on, masking the real issues, is going to be to the detriment and safety of officers and the public.
  • Social Media Monitoring (Watching/Listening to Criminals in Real Time)
  • Crime Analyst
  • Community Crime Mapping
  • Predictive Analytics
  • Facial Recognition (SIP – Stop, Interview, Process)
  • Integrate Daily Briefing with Personal Dashboard Analytics (For Beat/Ward Staff)
  • Full Accurint Risk Solutions with in-depth training with 6-month follow-ups

This is what we call Proven Digital Policing!

Don't Even Try To Be On Point & Complete Business This Week!

Don't Even Try To Be On Point &
Complete Business This Week!
by Nicholas Ashton, CEO/CIO, CommSmart Global Group

This is the Most Unproductive Work Week in 4 Years...

The Water Cooler is fed-up with the Political Conversations.  The Local Coffee Shop is loud with opinions and getting a table is so difficult.  Walking to and from work is like a minefield of people on their Smartphones, using their fingers and thumbs to converse and near-misses are common.

It is the week of the Election at long last and lever pulling is an in-thing!

Anticipation is fervent, people are actually conversing more face to face and the disagreement aspect is murderous.  Candidates and the workers have this last day to blow their stacks and then worry, while you go and vote.

The media companies have drained the candidate's bank accounts with television, radio and Internet media buys.  It is now back to normal advertising like car dealerships, drug companies, crappy fast food ads and have you got to call the doctor as you have had an election fever for more than four hours.

Oh for normality!

Tuesday will be a fingernail biting, scotch drinking, and a wine pouring day. Tensions will be high as will most of the population, including Kathy Lee & Hoda, will be seeking relaxation in one form or another!

So you have a choice, go home, drink or sit.  You can be a people watcher at the office or mall if you wish to be so perverted.

I personally am taking a break and watching out for what our maniacal stalker is up to, cleaning the gun, munching on potato chips and later, downing a few beers.

The television tuned to Fox News, NBC, and Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, you have to a mixture of quality programming.

Just a normal day in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Actually waiting for some good news from the prosecutor's office which will piss someone off.  Will inform you of the breaking news and all the details.

Get ready to vote and vote sensibly...

A Night of Fireworks - Remember the 5th of November - Then Vote on the 8th USA...

Bonfire Night
What is Guy Fawkes All About?

In 1605, thirteen young men planned to blow up
the Houses of Parliament. Among them was
Guy Fawkes, Britain's most notorious traitor.

After Queen Elizabeth I died in 1603, English Catholics who had been persecuted under her rule had hoped that her successor, James I, would be more tolerant of their religion. James I had, after all, had a Catholic mother. Unfortunately, James did not turn out to be more tolerant than Elizabeth and a number of young men, 13 to be exact, decided that violent action was the answer.
A small group took shape, under the leadership of Robert Catesby. Catesby felt that violent action was warranted. Indeed, the thing to do was to blow up the Houses of Parliament. In doing so, they would kill the King, maybe even the Prince of Wales, and the Members of Parliament who were making life difficult for the Catholics. Today these conspirators would be known as extremists or terrorists.
To carry out their plan, the conspirators got hold of 36 barrels of gunpowder - and stored them in a cellar, just under the House of Lords.
But as the group worked on the plot, it became clear that innocent people would be hurt or killed in the attack, including some people who even fought for more rights for Catholics. Some of the plotters started having second thoughts. One of the group members even sent an anonymous letter warning his friend, Lord Monteagle, to stay away from the Parliament on November 5th. Was the letter real?
The warning letter reached the King, and the King's forces made plans to stop the conspirators.
Guy Fawkes, who was in the cellar of the parliament with the 36 barrels of gunpowder when the authorities stormed it in the early hours of November 5th, was caught, tortured and executed.
It's unclear if the conspirators would ever have been able to pull off their plan to blow up the Parliament even if they had not been betrayed. Some have suggested that the gunpowder itself was so old as to be useless. Since Guy Fawkes and the other conspirators got caught before trying to ignite the powder, we'll never know for certain.
Even for the period which was notoriously unstable, the Gunpowder Plot struck a very profound chord for the people of England. In fact, even today, the reigning monarch only enters the Parliament once a year, on what is called "the State Opening of Parliament". Prior to the Opening, and according to custom, the Yeomen of the Guard search the cellars of the Palace of Westminster. Nowadays, the Queen and Parliament still observe this tradition.
On the very night that the Gunpowder Plot was foiled, on November 5th, 1605, bonfires were set alight to celebrate the safety of the King. Since then, November 5th has become known as Bonfire Night. The event is commemorated every year with fireworks and burning effigies of Guy Fawkes on a bonfire.
Some of the English have been known to wonder, in a tongue in cheek kind of way, whether they are celebrating Fawkes' execution or honoring his attempt to do away with the government.

EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT

EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT
By Nicholas Ashton, CEO/CIO, CommSmart Global Group

Is an eyewitness account admissible as evidence of a crime and can be used in a courtroom?

Not if you live in New Philadelphia, Ohio?

It seems that officers have a different view of the basic law of the land and world.

Two eyewitnesses and that is not good enough!

Do you have video was the question... who do you think we are, Alfred Hitchcock, his brother Sam or even, Eye Missed News at 11?

It is hard enough to get a police department to use Body Worn Cameras, let alone the public has a continuous video of their life running at all times!

It is the next comment that is astounding.

When the officer was asked if charges were to be filed against the individual that was witnessed the officer responded, "no, it is my (he, the officer's) reputation in the courtroom that is at stake".

Do what?

A criminal action took place, 12 hours after the individual was found guilty of criminal trespassing and then witnessed in another criminal act and it is the officer's reputation at stake?

What planet is he on and who trained him?  More to the point, who was the supervisor?  More importantly than that, who else is this happening to?

It is a common part of law enforcement globally that if you have eyewitnesses you will follow their information to prove or disprove their statement.

This has not even happened!

New Philadelphia law enforcement should go back to the Policeman's Bible, The Nine Peelian Principles, the basis of all law enforcement.

The individual who was witnessed is a 'progressive criminal', meaning the next step is not just violence against property it is against a person, which he has already done previously.

Who or what is next?

Will We Require A Body Bag and Yellow Tape?

Eyewitness testimony is the account a bystander or victim gives in the courtroom, describing what that person observed that occurred during the specific incident under investigation.

Is a Witness testimony considered evidence?

In criminal law, the inference is made by the trier of fact in order to support the truth of an assertion (of guilt or absence of guilt). Testimony can be direct evidence or it can be circumstantial. For instance, a witness saying that she saw a defendant stab a victim is providing direct evidence.

If this is going on and it is, it happened this last week to us, what are the rest of the public, who know nothing of the legal intricacies or should we say logical steps of society.

Meetings with Chief Prosecutor and Public Saftey officer have been demanded.

The rest of the full story will astound you...

Enact the 10th Peelian Principle NOW!

10th Peelian Principle

If the community leaders and law enforcement really want to get back to what is missing and save our future, act now and swiftly!

It is today’s conduit for the understanding how Trust, Respect & Honor can be returned to the community which the police serve, which until now, has resulted in a diabolical ‘THEM & US’ society.

Utilize the 21st Century social attributes that are at hand and in parallel with societal understanding.  Using the same technology that is used each and every day by the public.

Social media is a two-way street of communication, not just the police expressing their opinions, information needs, and public safety suggestions.

In reverse, the public publishes more information on themselves and their connections, friends, associates etc.  To be reviewed by the police on public platforms which is compliant with National law.

Using enhanced proven technology tools to review society and the criminal element who are causing the issues, such as:
  •  Social Media Interaction & Analytics
  • Crime Analytics
  • Community Crime Mapping
  • Predictive Analysis
  • Facial Recognition
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Coaching & Mentoring

Using the existing Nine Peelian Principles + a Tenth Digital Policing Peelian Principle

Capturing all information, analyzing, acting upon, and then storing with a complete search capability on a National, Regional, and Local basis.

Enacting the Ten Peelian Principles bring back the Trust, Respect & Honor to the communities they serve.

WE ARE IN THE NOW AND KEEP YOU; IN THE KNOW…

Ban Perpetual Beta Phenomenon! Proven Body Worn Cameras, Evidentiary Download & Management

Ban Perpetual Beta Phenomenon!
Body Worn Cameras, Evidentiary Download & Management
By Nick Ashton, CEO/CIO, CommSmart Global Group

Repost from 2014/15
Firstly, an update on Body Worn camera Usage:

It is much more than buying cameras, with or without a grant!  It is the training of the officers and knowing you have trustworthy officers that you have hired in the first place!

Data storage is a major factor and all of you are paying too much to companies who have no experience in data technology.  Do not get tasered and shocked!

Proactive Actions

Policing the Past: Protecting the Future

Proactive Policing has got to be removed from the Perpetual Beta Phenomenon

We do not have any more new ideas to be tried this week!  The art of control, policing, is alive and well and been doing great for centuries.  It is the ability to take what has been successful in the past and easily overlay proven technology to actively understand your concerns and then eliminate them.

Why are we testing and testing Body Worn Cameras over and over again?

CommSmart US and our partner, Global Focus, invented Body Worn Cameras in 1993!  (Robocam) Patented in 2001 with millions of hours of using them, training our clients and winning court cases!  Does that not mean anything?
CommSmart US has a completely secure solution which covers all aspects of the use of the camera, storage, and the evidentiary management.

Those of you that wish to work with us regarding cameras have the ability to have more experience and success than all other new companies put together.  This includes full certified training for officer and prosecutors, enabling success in the courtroom.

From headcam to bodycam, data download management and full court preparation with bookmarks, Telestration, all video formats, every single part of the evidence in one evidence package.  All with Trusted Remedy, Data in Motion secure connections.  Stopping the Hackers!

In an article published in the online magazine Slate, Arizona State University School of Criminology and Criminal Justice professors Justin Ready and Jacob Young address three myths about the use of officer-worn video cameras.

ASU criminologists dispel myths about police body cameras

The researchers have been studying the use of cameras by the Mesa Police Department and examining the outcomes of interactions with citizens. Both believe the technology holds tremendous promise, but are concerned about unrealistic expectations attributed to the use of body-worn cameras by police officers.

Many pundits have suggested that officer-worn cameras could have prevented the civil unrest that has transpired in Ferguson, Missouri, last month. The city experienced heated demonstrations and looting after a white police officer shot an 18-year old black teenager who had assaulted him. In the wake of the shooting, the city's police department has equipped its officers with uniform-mounted video cameras.

"There are a lot of these expectations about the ability of this technology to prevent or thwart these types of problems," says Ready, in an interview about the article. "But do we have unrealistic expectations of this technology. And if so, why?"

The researchers say the first myth about the use of such cameras is the belief that video evidence is completely objective and free of interpretation. To the contrary, the professors say that people can have different perspectives of the same video.

"People interpret what they see on video through the filter of their own experiences," the professors write in Slate.

In a separate interview, Young, an expert on social networks, says perception – not reality – influences how we see what was recorded.

“A lot of times in high-profile cases, the facts may become irrelevant to an individual’s beliefs about what actually happened. Perception is everything," says Young. "It’s this idea that even if you had an objective account of what occurred, the meaning of what happened is subjective and particular to the individual viewer.”

A second myth is that technology will always improve interactions between officers and citizens since both parties are being recorded. While cameras can be helpful in the majority of situations officers encounter, the criminologists point out that most interactions involve mediating disputes or helping those in need. In some instances, cameras could actually make things worse in situations where recording may interfere with an officer’s responsibility of enforcing the law. They cite an example of an officer trying to comfort a teenage girl who lived in an abusive home. They write that the officer "found it difficult to show compassion and respect for her privacy with the camera rolling."

The last myth is that body-worn video cameras will lessen civil unrest and controversy because the video that is captured is “objective.” Ready and Young suggest it's possible for such video to have a polarizing effect.

"People with strong convictions about what has transpired during a police shooting may use the ‘facts’ that they see in the video footage to support their expectations about what occurred in the blind spots," they write.

Overall, the two researchers suggest officer-worn video cameras will have a positive effect on policing. They point to the research they conducted in Mesa where one group of 50 officers wore cameras and another group of 50 did not.

They found officers with cameras conducted significantly fewer stop and frisks (and thus, arrests) than officers without the cameras. They also wrote more tickets, suggesting they were concerned with the consequences of letting someone go for a minor violation.

The researchers point out that, despite the limitations of video evidence, equipping officers with cameras will probably have the most impact by helping prevent problematic interactions between officers and citizens.

"The presence of a camera influences behavior," notes Young. "It's not necessarily having a recording of the event to evaluate after an incident, it's the preventing of particular actions before they transpire."

The policing evolution has been slow to come, but it is coming, I know so, as we are at the forefront. Citizens, elected officials, and progressive law enforcement commanders are demanding efficiency and effectiveness from agencies serving as peace keepers and social service providers.

As a profession, policing assumes responsibility for measuring levels of crime and perceived effectiveness in combating that crime.  This is a dangerous combination and is similar to asking the fox to keep a count of the chickens.  Feathers are strewn everywhere and those floating feathers never seem to hit the ground in real time, finding their way into our mouths, sticking and make us panic in the removal process.

Let us put the brakes on all these meetings and more bloody meetings and show you the answer.  I know we are bold, that is why we are on the right track, successful and down-to-earth in our methodology.  I ask you to listen.

CommSmart US is an all-encompassing manufacturer, designer of the hardware and software. Believing by mixing old school Peelian Principles and proven technology, we can rejuvenation and restore Trust, Respect and Pride back into the communities and the law enforcement family.

CommSmart US has the proven, patented, proprietary solutions and will discuss how we can solve and assist in all facets of your data in motion information security.

Be Smart, with CommSmart US…
